Balista Bistro’s story began in 2017, rooted in passion and dedication to pure-vegetarian cuisine. We started small, testing recipes for three months in a tiny room before launching our food van, which offered just six burgers and six wraps. This humble beginning marked the start of a journey focused on delivering delicious, wholesome food without compromising on our commitment to health and tradition.
Our food van quickly gained popularity, and in 2018, we opened our first outlet in Gandhinagar. With a menu that caters to pure-vegetarian and vegan preferences, we also specialize in Jain and Swaminarayan-friendly dishes, ensuring a variety of options for our diverse clientele. Our commitment to freshness, health, and quality became the foundation of our brand, resonating with customers and fueling our growth.
In 2021, Balista Bistro took a significant step forward, going global with the opening of our first franchise outlet in Ottawa, Canada. This expansion marked the beginning of our international presence, with locations now in the USA, Canada, and India. Through it all, our motto has remained the same: to provide fresh, healthy fast food with great customer service, ensuring every meal is a delightful experience for our patrons.

"I had great experience. It was my first time with friends and we enjoyed the food. Jamun shots are worth trying . I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The staff were good and helpful. Thank you for your service. I will visit soon again."
"Absolutely loved the experience at Balista Bistro! They’ve got a Golgappa Ghar inside the restaurant, and I tried their unlimited pani puri, sev puri, and dahi puri — hands down the best I’ve had in Calgary. Everything was super fresh, flavorful, and reminded me of street food back home. Great value and amazing service too."
